The Marel WPL 9000+ is a real time system running on an embedded processor with a touchscreen interface. The transport, weighing and labeling functions are all performed on the embedded board.  The machine can weigh up to one hundred sixty small packs per minute and automatically transmit the weights to a maximum of eight label printers using a range of preconfigured layouts known as ‘Comformats’.  In addition, the operator can make ‘quick changes’ to Comformats without stopping the line and it has a totalizer for controlling target run weights and quantities.  The WPL 9000+ system can be controlled or monitored via a secure network connection, a local laptop or the Windows Touchscreen and attached stylus.  The WPL 9000+ accumulated data is protected against power loss and emergency shut- downs by means of a safe shutdown kit powered by 2 x 12 V DC, 1.2 Ah, valve regulated, sealed lead acid backup batteries.
